After the very long and action packed day yesterday, we took it a bit easier in the morning, enjoying our oats and tea at the camp site at the National Park. Luckily the cycling was mostly downhill all the way to Barreal.
The small towns out here are certainly a lot less developed than what we have seen so far. On the other hand the small central square had free WiFi. We quickly decided to setup camp there for a few hours, doing a bit of planning for the next part of our trip.
The locals are serious about their siesta around here. The town was completely dead from 1 to 5:30 where the first shops seemed to open. At 6 the supermarket opened as well, and we could buy some more food for the next days.
Not long before sunset we cycled out of town looking for a camp site. We didn’t need to look for long, as we pushed our bikes for 10 minutes up a small hill. There we could enjoy another beautiful sunset over the Andes mountains before cooking dinner and pitching the tents. I love this life.
