Another rather slow day in Chiang Mai. There is supposedly a large number of temples to be seen in the city. I was, however, more in the mood to hang out at the hostel, read a good book, and eat more Thai food from the market.
In the night there was another party going on at the hostel next door. Walking into the bar and hearing English, German, Spanish, Swedish and Danish being spoken at the different tables still feels very strange to me. Perhaps my mind is still somewhere in rural India. The local Chang beer is rumoured to vary between 6% and 12% in alcohol volume. Furthermore it comes in 1 liter bottles. I managed to limit myself to a single bottle while saying goodbye to the friendly guys I have met in Chiang Mai.
Tomorrow I will start cycling towards Bangkok.
Hi, I’ve been reading your posts. Amazing! I saw on your pictures your great Bianchi. I’m also traveling around with my friends and I discovered something I’d like to share with you. I made front rack to carry my tent and sleeping bag and discovered that bike has better stability because waight is divided. I suggest you to use front rack, you won’t regret it. I wish you good luck on your way to Bangkok
Hi Lovra,
Thanks for the nice comment. I have been considering a front rack earlier on the trip, but now my bags are very light because I don’t carry warm clothes, so I don’t think I need it.
Have a nice weekend!
