You probably wouldn’t guess from the pictures, but Marius is 64 years old. On the climbs I might be a bit faster because my bike is lighter, but on flat roads Marius is cruising along at very respectable speed. I can only hope to be in that good shape when I’m 64!
During one of our lunch breaks we met this crazy guy.
In Sungai Besar we were welcomed by Romtze and the local group of radio friends. The bungalows we were taken to were a bit pricey for my budget, but luckily I was able to pitch my tent. I’m pretty sure the locals thought I was crazy, but I actually love sleeping in my tent.
In the night I had dinner with even more radio friends. That was when I realised that people go out and eat very late in Malaysia. If spend the whole day cycling I get tired after 11 pm. This was exactly the time when the guys started to arrive at the restaurant.
Veldig kult Thomas!
Tent respect!
