On the road I met Bill from New Zealand on his very first cycling day on a 4 month trip around South East Asia. Cycle touring is getting more and more popular over here.
I’m now riding in an area that was hard hit by the devastating 2004 tsunami. Today there are signs for the nearest evacuation route everywhere.
I ended up in Khao Lak, a typical resort town catering to Scandinavian visitors. The place has a nice beach but also in my opinion a lack of atmosphere. I doubt I will be hanging around long.
