I woke up to a cloudy day which certainly hasn’t been the norm here in Egypt. Speaking to the hotel staff they explained that while it occasionally gets cloudy in Luxor, they are only expecting rain once a year.
Even without rain, Luxor is still a green place thanks to a clever system of pumps and channels used to take advantage of the Nile.
As I will be leaving Egypt tomorrow I began to prepare for the next part of the trip. I was able to throw away some warm clothes and other equipment no longer needed. While my backpacks have never been heavy, they are now really trimmed.
